Happy Father's Day

I love you daddy. Thanks for playing with me, watching the US Open with me, and showing me how to use a computer (um, I mean a Mac). ;)

Newport, RI

Ah...vacation. Violet's first trip to the ocean was a success. The quaint town of Newport is perfectly nestled into the Rhode Island coastline and is rich with history and um, many shopping options. Violet was happiest crawling on the grass (wherever possible) and making new friends (regardless of the other party's level of interest) in the many restaurants we tried.

My hope is that we can take Violet on many adventures during her childhood. Whether they be to the park down the street or a new place like Newport.

I know Vi won't remember this trip in particular, but we will. ;)

Um, yes, this is a rhododendron behind us. The entire town is blanketed with these rhodo'giants' (a word coined by Bob during one of our trips to Gettysburg):
Two bumps on a log and peas in a pod:
The 'cliff walk' wraps the coastline and outlines the famous ocean mansions & estates:
About town:

Beautiful view from the hotel:
Digging in the pebbles...at the Vanderbilt estate:

Oh - hi Mom, i was having trouble sleeping...
A walk cannot be had without two fist fulls of flora:
One tired, little adventurer - headed toward home:
