Baby Downie goes extra innings

Well, Lora has made it to 40 weeks...full term! We went to the doc's today with high hopes but received some rather discouraging news...looks like Baby Downie is taking us into extra innings.

It's been a very long road and even though common sense tells you to not have your heart set on the due date - you can't help but use it as a timeline. We know that God has seen us through the last nine (ten) months, and he's not going to leave us now.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

-Philippians 4:6-7

Bummer!! I know that must be hard with all the excitement of meeting your daughter and feeling uncomfortable!! You have a great attitude though and I think God will reward you with a baby by the end of the week:) HEHE!!

Amen Sister! Your positive attitude is an inspiration. The suspense will just make your blessing even bigger, and we all know she will be quite a blessing. Thanks for your continued updates . . .I love you!

Hi Lora and Rich,
I just read your posts here and it was great to catch up even through a blog. I was praying for you a while back when I heard of the issues and you will be in my prayers for a safe and smooth (and maybe not too long :0) delivery. It will be fun to see newborn pics the next time I visit your site. Grace and peace to you guys as you await your little one.
